ADHD & ASPERGERS COACHING

IN HIGHER EDUCATION

Students with Hidden Disabilities are entering Higher Education & Universities at an increasing rate

They are entitled to an ASSESSMENT OF NEED to determine the level of support they will need to be successful at University

ADHD  & ASPERGERS Students may be able to access funding - DISABLED STUDENTS ALLOWANCE - to pay for a NON MEDICAL HELPER & SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT such as a laptop  and printer with suitable software to enable completion of the course successfully

NON MEDICAL HELPERS may have little or no experience or training in the support of students in HIGHER EDUCATION with ADHD or ASPERGERS SYNDROME

REACH COACHING is experienced in working with Universities to provide high quality, professional support in the form on NON MEDICAL HELPERS for Students with ADHD & ASPERGERS' SYNDROME

STUDENTS with ADHD & ASPERGERS' Syndrome can be supported using trained and qualified coaches experienced in both these conditions who are knowledgeable about how to suport students successfully in Higher Education and Colleges

TRAINING

• REACH COACHING is able to offer both on and off site training for Higher Education Establishments and Colleges of Further Education for LEARNING SUPPORT STAFF to learn how to support students with hidden disabilities like ADHD & ASPERGERS' SYNDROME

• Students in Universities are at high risk of dropping out if they are unsupported or supported by inadequately trained staff

• REACH COACHING is keen to work with LEARNING SUPPORT CO-ORDINATORS AND NON-MEDICAL HELPERS to offer STUDENTS high quality, professional, inclusive support to enable them to achieve good degrees on a parr with their non-disabled peers
